Ft McAlister Service Project

Posted on Oct 30 2016 - 10:55pm

This will be a Pack service project to benefit Ft Mcalister State Park.  The park sustained much damage during Hurricane Matthew and is currently closed due to the large amount of storm damage and debris.  Pack 400 has offered to help clean up the park and is inviting other Richmond Hill Scout organizations to assist on November 5th as a way of giving back to our community.  Pack 400 will provide pizza lunch to members of our Pack that participate so please sign up so we can get a head count for food.  Pack participants may also be eligible for the Messengers of Peace award.  We will meet at the Ft McAllister State Park Office at 9am and wrap up by noon.  Please bring a water bottle, bug spray, gloves, and rakes, as well as any other tools you think may be handy.  The boys will primarily be picking up limbs and debris around the day use areas.
